The big weather story for northern Alabama in coming days will be the first genuine heat spell of the season. After a couple of days with highs in the upper 80’s, it looks like Wednesday through Saturday could feature temperatures well up in the 90’s on each afternoon as high pressure builds into the eastern third of the nation.
