Discussion
Showers and thunderstorms are possible later today and again tonight as a cold front arrives in the region and this front will then stall in the Mid-Atlantic this weekend. Low pressure will pull out of the Tennessee Valley on Saturday and ride along the stalled out boundary zone and right towards the Mid-Atlantic region. As a result, more rain is likely here from later tomorrow into Sunday morning and some of it can be heavy at times; especially, in the overnight hours. Nicer weather will return early next week as high pressure follows the departing weekend low pressure system.
