Discussion

The wet weather pattern continues for the remainder of the week in much of the eastern half of the nation. A stalled out frontal boundary zone just to our north will result in unsettled weather across northern Alabama during the next few days. A series of upper-level waves of energy will move along the stalled out frontal boundary zone and generate bands of showers and thunderstorms and some of the storms can be strong-to-severe. Any shower or thunderstorm in this pattern can produce some heavy rainfall and – given the already well saturated grounds – localized flooding continues to be a concern.
