Discussion
A cold front will push through the region today and it can generate scattered showers and thunderstorms. High pressure will build to our north on Friday and this system should result in a nicer end to the work week and a pleasant beginning to the weekend. A broad area of moisture will slowly head this way on Sunday in a southwest-to-northeast fashion and the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase by nightfall and that rain threat will continue early next week as well.
