Discussion
High pressure slid off the coast yesterday allowing for warmer and more humid air to push into the Mid-Atlantic region from the Tennessee Valley and it’ll stay quite warm and humid here likely right through the first half of the upcoming weekend. A weak frontal system has stalled out just to our south and it’ll result in more unsettled weather around here; especially, later in the week. While showers and thunderstorms should be relatively isolated today and Thursday, they'll become more numerous on Friday and especially on Saturday. Some of the storms that form late Saturday can be severe as a strong cold front arrives. Following the frontal passage it'll turn slightly cooler and less humid on Sunday and the beginning of the next work week looks quite comfortable in the Mid-Atlantic.
