Discussion

A cool frontal system has stalled out nearby and its boundary zone will help to keep it somewhat unsettled in this area for the next few days. As a result, there will be lots of cloud cover, a continuing shot at showers and thunderstorms, and temperatures at or slightly below-normal for mid-August. Hotter weather will make a return to this region by the latter part of the weekend and afternoon highs will be pushing the 90 degree mark on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
