Discussion

A cool frontal system has stalled out nearby and its boundary zone will help to keep it somewhat unsettled in this area for the next few days. As a result, there will be lots of cloud cover, a continuing shot at showers and thunderstorms, and slightly cooler-than-normal temperatures for the middle of August. Hotter weather will make a return to the region this weekend and afternoon highs will be pushing into the 90’s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
