Discussion
Strong high pressure overhead will push off the coastline by early tomorrow and this will open the door for moisture to head this way from the Mississippi Valley. A strong upper-level wave of energy will move eastward from the middle of the country and help to generate low pressure over the Ohio Valley on Friday morning. This initial low will actually give way to a secondary low that will form right over the Delmarva Peninsula on Saturday morning and rain can become heavy at times in the I-95 corridor. It is likely to be cold enough for snow on Saturday only across interior and higher elevation locations of the Mid-Atlantic and NE US. Following the storm, it’ll become windy on Sunday as another cold air mass works its way into the Mid-Atlantic region and there can be some snow shower activity.
