Discussion

The weather will remain somewhat unsettled across Florida today as one upper-level trough meanders nearby while another settles into the Tennessee Valley. As a result, there will be the threat for showers and thunderstorms in the region today, but perhaps the bigger story will be the climb towards 90 degrees for afternoon highs. Elsewhere, Tropical Storm Arthur will head on out-to-sea today after impacting the Outer Banks of North Carolina on Monday with some gusty winds and heavy rain bands.
