High pressure remains in control for another couple of days and then a strong cold front will approach the region late Friday. This front will slow down as it heads towards the eastern seaboard at week’s end and this will allow low pressure to form along the advancing frontal boundary zone. As a result, rain showers are likely here early Friday night and, as colder air filters in, there can be some snow shower activity late Friday night and Saturday.
