Discussion
“Red sky in the morning…sailors warning”. The overall weather pattern for the final week of the year will be quite active with multiple systems impacting the region. The week begins with red skies this morning and indeed this is a warning that some wintry precipitation is coming later today as low pressure approaches the Mid-Atlantic region. Additional low pressure systems will come our way for the mid and late week time periods bringing some rain shower activity. The weekend could feature a much stronger low pressure system in the eastern US sandwiched between warmer air to the south and east and colder air to the north and west.
