Discussion

Weak low pressure will push to a position off the Mid-Atlantic coastline by later today and it could produce a touch of snow in some spots at times, but its overall impact will be very limited. This system features little support in the upper atmosphere, a limited amount of moisture, and any intensification of the surface low is going to wait until it is well off the east coast. It remains cold on Thursday, but will turn much milder again by the beginning of the weekend. In fact, a surge of warmth on Saturday could bring record high temperatures to the metro region with temperatures soaring towards 70 degrees…turns colder again on Sunday.
