Discussion
Our active weather pattern of recent days will continue this week and there will be multiple opportunities for snow and/or ice in the Philly metro region. High pressure will briefly take control of the weather around here today as we begin the new work week, but then a “clipper” type of system will affect the area on Tuesday with a mix of snow, sleet and rain and snow accumulations of a coating to an inch or so are possible. A stronger system will then impact the region in two waves beginning late Wednesday into early Thursday and again late Thursday into Friday. Additional accumulations are on the table for this long duration event during the second half of the week and the threat of wintry precipitation will not end there.
