Discussion
Sprawling high pressure over the northeastern quadrant of the nation will be our main player during the next several and the main culprit behind the season’s first extended stretch of unseasonably warm weather. Temperatures today will peak in the lower 80’s across the northern part of Alabama and edge higher to the low-to-mid 90’s by the early part of next week. The overall pattern looks to be rain-free after today's threat of scattered showers with an increasing chance of rain by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
