Discussion

An upper-level ridge of high pressure continues to be the main player around here with surface high pressure positioned over the western Atlantic Ocean. The combination of the two systems will produce very warm conditions across northern Alabama over the next couple of days and an elevated chance of showers and thunderstorms. The weekend looks drier and temperatures should be quite comfortable, but it’ll turn very warm early next week with the middle 80’s likely for afternoon highs on Monday, Memorial Day.
