Discussion
A cold front will work its way through the region this morning and then stall out across Virginia by tomorrow. There will enough drying today in the NYC metro region to eliminate the chances for showers and thunderstorms and it is likely to remain rain-free on Friday and turn a bit cooler. The weekend starts off with decent weather and then the next cold front could bring some shower and thunderstorm activity to the area late Sunday/Sunday night.
