Discussion

Tropical Storm “Claudette” has moved into the eastern part of North Carolina after dousing the southeastern states with some heavy rainfall this weekend and it’ll exit the coastline later in the day. The main weather story of the next few days around here will be the arrival of another pretty comfortable air mass for the middle of the week preceded by a strong cold front. Temperatures today are likely to climb to the upper 80’s ahead of the front, but will turn somewhat cooler on Tuesday and lows tomorrow night should be in the 50’s. There will be the threat for showers and thunderstorms during the next 24 hours or so ahead of the approaching frontal system.
