Discussion
Upper-level high pressure across the Great Plains continues to dominate the weather picture in the Tennessee Valley and very hot weather continues to be the result. Temperatures should climb into the mid-to-upper 90’s this afternoon and likely reach those same levels on Friday and Saturday. Some relief is likely around here by the second half of the weekend following the passage of a frontal system and temperatures on Sunday and Monday are more likely to be confined to the middle 80’s for afternoon highs.
