Discussion

Vigorous upper-level low pressure has pushed into the eastern US and with it some of the chilliest air so far this season for the Tennessee Valley. High temperatures today will be to the lower 50’s which is well below-normal for this time of year. Temperatures during the next couple of late nights will drop to near 30 degrees and patchy frost is possible.  Noticeably milder conditions will return to northern Alabama by the upcoming weekend after high pressure pushes to a position off the eastern seaboard.
