Discussion
A cold front will head into the eastern US today and it’ll stay very warm ahead of it with afternoon high temperatures near 80 degrees. The chance of showers will increase during the afternoon as the front approaches and there can be a late day or early evening strong thunderstorm. It’ll turn cooler on Friday behind the front, but still fairly mild as we close out the work week. Another front will cross the region on Saturday night and its passage will usher in a colder air mass for the second half of the weekend. In fact, high temperatures on Easter Sunday are liable to hold in the 50’s despite plenty of sunshine as high pressure takes control and much of next week looks to be on the cool side.
