Discussion
After the soaking rainfall of the overnight hours, the precipitation will diminish later this morning, but skies will remain mainly cloudy and an afternoon shower cannot be ruled out. The chance for rain will rise again on Thursday as a strong cold front pushes into the eastern states and there can even be a strong thunderstorm tomorrow afternoon or evening. After that, it doesn’t exactly clear out as a deep upper-level trough of low pressure will set up shop over the northeastern part of the nation for Friday and Saturday bringing us cool, unsettled weather with additional showers likely from time-to-time. Looking ahead, a big time up warm up is coming to the eastern states next week with the 70’s likely by Tuesday.
