Discussion
A very comfortable air mass will stick around for another day in the Mid-Atlantic region with pleasant temperatures and low humidity levels; however, there are big changes on the way. A warm front will work its way through the region during the next 24 hours or so bringing with it some shower and thunderstorms and some of the rain can be heavy at times later tonight into early Thursday. Following the passage of the warm front, the hottest weather so far this season will push into the area for Friday and Saturday with highs of 90+ degrees on the table for the first half of the weekend. Another cold front will arrive later Sunday - likely with afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms – and its passage will usher in cooler air once again for the eastern states by the early part of next week.
