Discussion
High pressure to the east of here will continue to pump very warm air into the Tennessee Valley and temperatures today and Friday should reach 90+ degrees for afternoon highs. Generally rain-free weather is expected through tomorrow, but the approach of a cool front this weekend will increase the chances for showers and thunderstorms. By the second half of the weekend, temperatures will become more comfortable on the backside of the cool frontal system.
