Discussion

In the wake of the departure of low pressure, the day will start off on the dry side, but clouds will increase later as another wave approaches the Mississippi Valley.  While the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase later today and tonight, the rain will be more likely on Wednesday and Wednesday night as an upper-level trough intensifies. In fact, numerous showers are likely in the mid-week time frame around here and some storms that form can be strong-to-severe.
