Discussion

The first half of the week will be cooler-than-normal in the Mid-Atlantic region with an upper-level trough of low pressure building aloft over the northeastern states. This system could help to spawn the formation of a low pressure over the western Atlantic which would enhance the chance of showers around here into mid-week and also keep a cool low-level flow of air well established. High pressure is likely to take back control later in the week and temperatures will remain on the comfortable side.
