Discussion
Today will be another hot and humid one in the Mid-Atlantic region as high pressure over the western Atlantic continues to pump in the high heat and humidity from our southwest. Big changes are coming, however, by later in the week. A weak front will begin the transition to more comfortable conditions bringing us the chance of showers and thunderstorms later today, tonight and tomorrow and there can be some heavy rainfall at times. A stronger cool front will sweep through the region on Thursday night paving the way for a refreshing air mass for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
