Discussion

A cold front crossed the region early yesterday and it’ll remain on the cool side as we end the work week with high pressure in control. The weekend should start off with sunshine and comfortable temperatures and there will be another cold front crossing the region on Saturday morning. The passage of the cold front will usher in slightly cooler air for Sunday and Monday and temperatures late Sunday night/early Monday should bottom out in the low-to-mid 30’s.

One final note, there was some light rain at Philly International Airport (PHL) early Thursday morning, but the official measurement was only a trace. As a result, the consecutive day streak without measurable precipitation (0.01 inches or more) continues into today and has now reached 26 days. The record streak of 29 days without measurable precipitation was set all the way back in 1874 and it is in jeopardy.
