Discussion
High pressure will build in all levels of the atmosphere over the next 24 hours across the eastern half of the nation and this will lead to the hottest stretch of weather so far this season. Temperatures will climb to the lower 90’s this afternoon and then into the 90’s during the remainder of the week and upcoming weekend. The peak of this upcoming hot spell is likely to be on Friday and Saturday and then some relief is likely by early next week with the arrival of a cool frontal system.
