Discussion
High pressure ridging will slide to our east here at mid-week and this change in position will result in increasing heat, moisture, and an increase in the chance for PM showers and thunderstorms. In addition to the ridge moving to the east, an upper-level trough will push in the center of the nation and the southerly flow between the two systems will enhance moisture levels across the Tennessee Valley region.
