Discussion
A cold front crosses the region later today and can bring with it more in the way of scattered shower and thunderstorm activity. Some of the afternoon and evening storms can be strong, but much of the time today will be rain-free. Following the passage of the cold front, a cooler and crisp air mass arrives for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with daytime highs in the 70’s - well below-normal for this time of year - and overnight lows way down in the 50’s. In fact, some spots can see temperatures drop to the upper 40’s for late night lows during this upcoming stretch of fall-like weather across the Mid-Atlantic region.
