Discussion
The powerful storm system that brought heavy rain and strong winds to the area on Thursday has pushed off to our northeast and there should be some sunshine today in its wake today. But the bigger story will be the howling winds on our Halloween Day which can gust to 45 mph from a west-to-northwest direction…power outages are on the table. A very tight pressure gradient is now developing between the powerful departing storm system and an incoming high pressure system over the Northern Plains. High pressure will be in control of the weather this weekend resulting in cool, dry conditions, but winds will still be somewhat of a factor on Saturday.
One final note...it is time once again to turn the clocks back an hour...early Sunday morning.
