Discussion
An extended period of wet and unsettled weather is coming to the Mid-Atlantic region and the colder-than-normal temperature pattern will continue as well. Waves of low pressure will produce occasional showers here from late today into tonight and periods of rain are likely on Friday and Saturday. High pressure will try to resume control later in the weekend and it should turn milder early next week; however, another strong cold front will usher in a chilly air mass by the middle of next week.
