Discussion
A cold front moved through the region on Tuesday and set the stage for clearing skies last night and plenty of sunshine here today. However, there is one “fly-in-the-ointment” with respect to the sunshine expected today, it will be dimmed by smoke and haze at times due to the post-frontal shift in the winds which are now blowing air into the Mid-Atlantic region from Canada. Another cold front heads this way at the end of the week and will likely stall-out in close proximity. As a result, several waves of low pressure could ride along the nearly stationary frontal boundary zone generating unsettled weather conditions here from late Friday through Monday with the chance of showers on each day.
