Discussion
A cold front has dropped southward into the Mid-Atlantic region from southeastern Canada and it will stall out in close proximity later in the day. Several waves of low pressure are likely to ride along this nearly stationary frontal boundary zone during the next several days generating a stretch of unsettled weather around here from today all the way into the middle of next week. While there should be plenty of rain-free time during this extended time period, showers will be possible on each day from today through next Wednesday, thunderstorms can mix into the picture, and some of the rain will likely be heavy at times.
