Discussion

A stationary frontal system will keep it unsettled around here for another couple of days with a daily chance of showers though most of the time will be rain-free. The front finally pulls north as a warm front by mid-week and temperatures will respond by climbing well up into the 80’s on Wednesday. Another cold front heads this way on Thursday and it can produce some strong-to-severe thunderstorm activity late in the day and on Thursday night. Looking ahead, a surge of heat is possible for the DC-to-Boston corridor early next week that could result in a run to 100 degrees in the big cities along Roue I-95.
