Discussion

Strong high pressure shifts offshore today and this will result in a warming trend for the area. Temperatures can climb into the lower 80’s today to go along with plenty of sunshine and then soar to the middle and upper 80’s on Wednesday and Thursday...a few spots should top out at 90 degrees. The weather turns more unsettled again for the end of the week and the early part of the weekend with an approaching frontal system and an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms.

One final note, the first official 90-degree day is possible on Wednesday or Thursday and should this take place, it would be about three weeks behind the average and the latest first 90-degree day since 2016.
