Discussion
The cold front that pushed into the Mid-Atlantic region during the overnight hours will hang up for a bit along the eastern seaboard resulting in plenty of clouds this morning, lingering showers and possible thunderstorms. High pressure will take control of the weather later today and then a weak cold front will arrive late in the day on Thursday with an isolated shower or two possible. Following the passage of the weak cold front, the Independence Day holiday on Friday should turn out to be very nice in the Mid-Atlantic region with plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and comfortably warm conditions and that nice weather should continue for much of the upcoming weekend as well.
