Discussion
A strong cold front passes through the region this morning and north-to-northwest winds will kick up on its backside during the PM hours. Colder air will ride the winds into the Mid-Atlantic region setting us up for a chilly weekend. Temperatures on Saturday will likely do no better than the lower 40’s for afternoon highs despite plenty of sunshine and it stays on the cool side to close out the weekend. Much milder weather returns to the Mid-Atlantic region during the early and middle parts of next week as strong high pressure ridging that has been parked over the western US in recent days slides to this part of the country.
