Discussion

A strong cold frontal system passed through the region in the overnight hours paving the way for a refreshing air mass to make its way into the Mid-Atlantic region. Humidity will be noticeably lower during the next couple of days and the nights will be on the cool side for the middle of June. An upper-level trough will extend into this part of the nation at mid-week and the weather will become more unsettled with the chance of PM showers and thunderstorms on both Wednesday and Thursday, and severe weather may be on the table for late Thursday.
