Discussion

High pressure builds into the Mid-Atlantic region today and it should be in control for the next few days. Temperatures will be moderately warm today, rise to above-normal levels on Tuesday, and then soar into the upper 90’s on Wednesday…likely the hottest day of the week. A dry and weak cold front will pass through the region late Wednesday and its passage will have little in the way of relief for the metro region. Unsettled weather makes a return by the end of the week or the early part of the upcoming weekend and strong thunderstorms are likely going to come back to the table.
