Discussion
A warm front will push through the area this morning and there will be plenty of clouds around and scattered AM showers and thunderstorms. Partial sunshine is likely this afternoon and there are going to be additional showers and thunderstorms as a cold front heads in this direction from our northwest...any PM thunderstorm can be strong-to-severe and the rain can be heavy at times. The cold front should clear the coast on Friday and there can be a lingering shower or thunderstorm to close out the work week. High pressure then pushes back into the area for the weekend providing warm conditions for both Saturday and Sunday and plenty of sunshine.
One final note, there is a lunar eclipse tonight that peaks at 12:13am (ET) with 96% of the lunar surface covered by Earth’s shadow…weather permitting of course.
