An unusually strong “cold air damming” weather pattern with deep high pressure to our north is going to result in well below normal temperatures for the next few days. Winds will become quite noticeable from an east-to-northeast direction and the expected extended period of onshore flow will increase the chance for tidal flooding along coastal sections through the remainder of the week. In addition to the chill down, the pattern remains unsettled with occasional rain today and tonight and showers cannot be ruled out for Wednesday.
