7:00 AM | *Another day with sunshine and highs in the middle 80's*

Paul Dorian

The decent weather pattern that began around here a few days ago will continue for much of the remainder of the week. Today will feature plenty of sunshine and warm conditions with highs this afternoon in the middle 80’s. There is the chance that enough moisture pushes northward later in the week from the Gulf of Mexico and this will raise the chance for a shower or thunderstorm each day through the weekend.

High pressure ridging will maintain control of our weather pattern for the next few days and the drier pattern that developed last week will continue in the Tennessee Valley. Meanwhile, Hurricane Sam is churning over the Atlantic Ocean and needs to be closely monitored. As high pressure builds into the southeastern part of Canada in coming days, Hurricane Sam could take a turn towards the Northeast US/New England during the upcoming weekend.

It’ll be much cooler today in the wake of the frontal passage and a northwest wind will become quite noticeable. Comfortable temperatures will dominate the scene for the late week and upcoming weekend.

7:00 AM | **The week begins with flooding rainfall in the Tennessee Valley**

Paul Dorian

The week starts off with the threat of flooding rainfall in the Tennessee valley as the result of a slow-moving frontal system. There will be occasional showers through tomorrow and possible thunderstorms…any shower or storm can produce heavy rainfall amounts in a quick period of time. The front works its way through the region by mid-week and the second half of the week will feature below-normal temperatures and plenty of sunshine on a daily basis.

7:00 AM (Thursday) | *Nice weather in the Tennessee Valley on the heels of a frontal passage*

Paul Dorian

In the wake of a frontal passage, the weather will be quite nice across the Tennessee valley during the next couple of days. Temperatures will be rather comfortable for this time of year and there will be plenty of sunshine as well. It does turn warmer later this weekend and early next week and 90 degrees will return for possible afternoon highs as we begin the new work week.

7:00 AM | *Second half of the week pretty comfortable around here following frontal passage*

Paul Dorian

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms later today as a cold front works its way through the region. Once this front passes by, the weather will turn nice again across northern Alabama with generally comfortable conditions and plenty of sunshine for the latter part of the week and then it’ll warm up some this weekend, but pretty seasonal for this time of year.
