PHL Monday Forecast - 70's possible for highs all week

Paul Dorian

High pressure will build into the region today, but the cooler air aloft will contribute to some instability in the atmosphere leading to patchy clouds for today and a few showers/thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures will be much cooler this week compared to the record-breaking heat of last week. In fact, highs may very well stay in the 70’s right through Friday. Another chance for some rain will occur at the end of the work week as low pressure gathers together near the Atlantic coast. Today- a mix of clouds and sun, pleasant temperatures, a shower can’t be ruled out, mid 70’s (normal high is now 80 degrees)

Tonight- partly cloudy, cool, mid 50’s

Tues- more clouds than sun, a few afternoon showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, cool, low 70’s

Wed- partly sunny, pleasant, mid 70’s

Thurs- partly sunny, but with a chance for a shower or thunderstorm, pleasant temperatures, mid 70’s

Fri- mostly cloudy with a couple of showers and thunderstorms likely later in the day and at night, mid 70’s
