Active pattern this week with several shower/thunderstorm threats
Paul Dorian
It looks like quite an active week with several opportunities for showers and thunderstorms and some of the rain will be heavy during the mid-week time period. A frontal system has set up just south of the region for today and there is the threat for a shower or thunderstorm, but most of the activity will stay south of the PA/MD border. This front will move north on Wednesday as a warm front and this will likely generate showers and thunderstorms for the Mid-Atlantic region with some heavy rain included. It’ll remain unsettled right into the end of the week as another front will approach then from the west. Today- mostly cloudy, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, highs near 80
Tonight- mostly cloudy, mild, lows near 60
Tues- mostly cloudy, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, warm, low 80’s
Wed- partly sunny, very warm and humid, a chance for showers and thunderstorms and some of this rain could be heavy, near 90
Thurs- mostly cloudy, the threat for more showers and thunderstorms, warm, mid 80’s
Fri- partly sunny, still the chance for a shower or thunderstorm, low 80’s
