Showers this morning...more threats later this week

Paul Dorian

An area of showers and thunderstorms has developed along a frontal system that lies east-to-west across the DC region. The best chance for these showers will be during the morning hours and lingering clouds will hold down the afternoon temperatures with highs expected near 80. This front will advance to the north on Wednesday as a warm front and we’ll experience some hot and humid weather during the mid-week. Showers and thunderstorms will likely develop in and near the front during the mid-week and some of this rain could get heavy. Another front will approach from the west on Friday and this will continue our unsettled weather pattern right into the weekend. Today- a few showers and thunderstorms this morning and mostly cloudy skies this afternoon with another shower or thunderstorm possible, highs near 80

Tonight- mostly cloudy, chance for another shower, lows in the mid 60’s

Tues- partly sunny, very warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, highs near 90

Wed- partly sunny, hot and humid, chance for a few showers and thunderstorms, some of the rain could be heavy, mid 90’s

Thurs- mostly cloudy, chance for more showers and thunderstorms, hot and humid, low 90’s

Fri- partly sunny, very warm and humid, still the threat for another shower and thunderstorm, upper 80’s
