Numerous showers/storms later this week
Paul Dorian
An active weather pattern has set up in the Mid-Atlantic region and it will produce some heavy rain and strong thunderstorms before the end of the week. Much of today and tonight will be rain-free; however, a shower or thunderstorm can occur at just about any time. A warm front will advance northward into our area tomorrow and this could set off some strong thunderstorm activity; especially, during the afternoon hours. That frontal boundary will continue to generate numerous shower and thunderstorm activity during the day on Thursday and this threat continues on Friday. A cool front will slide through by the weekend and this should begin a drying out process so that by Sunday the weather looks to be rain-free. Today- mostly cloudy, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, highs near 80
Tonight- mostly cloudy, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, lows near 65
Wed- mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely and some of this rain could be heavy, warm and humid, low-to-mid 80’s
Thurs- mostly cloudy, warm and humid, more numerous showers and thunderstorms and some of this rain could be heavy, mid 80’s
Fri- partly sunny, still the threat for another shower or thunderstorm, warm, mid 80’s
Sat- partly sunny, chance for another shower, low 80’s
Sun- partly sunny, warm, low 80’s
