Morning showers and then increasing thunderstorm threat
Paul Dorian
An area of showers and thunderstorms has developed overnight and will affect portions of the region during the morning hours with the heaviest shower activity occurring over northern Maryland. A warm front will advance northward by tomorrow and this could set off some strong thunderstorm activity during the day on Wednesday. That threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue on Thursday and Friday and some of the rain could get heavy. A drying trend will develop over the weekend, but another shower cannot be ruled out for Saturday. Today- a few showers and thunderstorms this morning; especially, across northern Maryland then partly sunny this afternoon with another shower or thunderstorm possible, very warm and humid, upper 80’s
Tonight- mostly cloudy with a shower or thunderstorm possible, lows near 70
Wed- partly-to-mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms possible, some of this rain could get heavy, hot and humid, low 90’s
Thurs- mostly cloudy with more showers and thunderstorms, some of this rain could be heavy, hot and humid, near 90
Fri- partly sunny, chance for another shower or thunderstorm, upper 80’s
Sat- partly sunny, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 80’s
Sun- mainly sunny, warm, mid 80’s
