9:30 PM Strong storms possible late Monday; blistering heat Thurs-Sat
Paul Dorian
A blistering heat wave will spread from the nation’s midsection to the east coast by the Thursday, Friday and Saturday time frame of the new week. Before that happens, temperatures will also be quite hot during the early part of the week and strong thunderstorms are possible late in the day on Monday or early Monday night. Highs could very well reach the mid 90’s during the 1st half of the week and then will possibly flirt with 100 degrees during the 2nd half of the week. Tonight- partly cloudy, still pretty comfortable, lows in the mid-to-upper 60’s
Sun- mostly sunny, hot and more humid, near 90
Mon- partly sunny, hot and humid, mid 90’s; chance for strong thunderstorms late in the day or early at night
Tues- partly sunny, hot and humid, chance for another thunderstorm, mid 90’s
Wed- partly sunny, hot and humid, mid 90’s
Thurs- partly sunny, blistering heat and humidity, isolated thunderstorm, near 100
Fri- mainly sunny, brutal heat and humidity, isolated thunderstorm, near 100
Sat- partly sunny, brutal heat again, isolated thunderstorm, near 100
