Discussion
The heat wave that has been confined to the middle of the country will expand to the Mid-Atlantic region tomorrow and high temperatures here will likely reach the mid-to-upper 90’s on Thursday and Friday. Humidity levels will be high as well resulting in even higher heat index values. Slight relief is possible over the weekend as slightly less hot air may drop down the east coast; however, real relief will have to wait until early next week. A stronger cool front will move in from the west late on Monday and highs temperatures by Tuesday afternoon should be back in the more seasonable low-to-mid 80’s.
